Eligibility criteria for the One Young World Leading Scholarship Program
Candidates must demonstrate that they meet all of the following requirements to be considered for the One Young World Leading Scholarship Program 2025:
1. Minimum Age Requirements:
- At the time of the summit, applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 30 to be considered.
- Applications from people above the age of thirty will be taken into consideration, provided they can provide evidence of significant personal impact, initiative, and participation that they have demonstrated.
- At the time of the summit, applicants who are younger than 18 years old are not eligible to participate.
2. Dedication to Accomplishing Positive Change:
Prospective applicants are required to present evidence that demonstrates their dedication to bringing about beneficial social, environmental, or economic change in their local communities or on a worldwide scale.
3. Leadership Potential:
Candidates are required to demonstrate strong leadership capabilities by identifying ways in which they have affected or inspired others in the course of their projects.
4. Addressing Critical issues:
Applicants who are actively working to address crucial challenges such as the following are encouraged to apply for the scholarship.
- A shift in climate
- Equality between the sexes
- The alleviation of poverty
- Availability of educational and medical services
- Promotion of social justice and peacebuilding
5. An Unbroken Record of Influence:
To demonstrate their capacity to bring about change in their particular disciplines, applicants are required to demonstrate a history of developing innovative and impactful ideas, showcasing their ability to drive change in their respective fields

Important Notes on Visa Requirements
Recipients who require a visa to enter Germany must cover the visa fee and any additional costs associated with the visa application, including:
- Travel to and from the visa application center.
- Supporting documents are required for the visa process.
- It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure their visa is secured in time for the summit.
Application Procedure for the 2025 One Young World Leading Scholarship Program
1. Application Review Process
- Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submissions are encouraged.
- Priority is given to applicants from countries that are underrepresented at previous One Young World Summits.
2. Selection Preferences
- Applicants who are first-time attendees will be prioritized over existing One Young World Ambassadors.
- Candidates with the demonstrated ability to make a meaningful impact in their communities or fields are preferred.
3. Scholarship Limitations
- Due to the overwhelming number of applications, One Young World cannot guarantee sponsorship to all applicants.
- Individual feedback is not provided for unsuccessful applications.
